A quiet hamlet on the Sorrentine Peninsula, Torca sits on a slope overlooking the Gulf of Salerno and the Li Galli islands. The small village is arranged around a central square, home to the 15th-century Church of San Tommaso Apostolo. From the village, a well-marked but demanding footpath leads down to the secluded Crapolla Fjord. The trail involves a long staircase of around 700 steps, descending through Mediterranean vegetation to the cove. The area is also crossed by a number of other walking paths, including the 9km Sirenuse Trail.
To reach the village from Massa Lubrense town centre, take Via Massa Turro towards Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi. At the junction, take the second right as signposted and continue to the end of the road. Parking is available in the main square or along the road in marked blue lines. Some SITA buses running from Sorrento to Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi also stop in the village, but it is advisable to check the timetable in advance.
